Episode 18

May 6, 2025    Abby Hutto, Joey Sherrard

School is almost done, which means that for many of us we’re looking forward to more downtime and the chance to get into - whether it’s by the Town Pool, at the beach, in the mountains, or just in our homes - some summer reading! The Bible remains the center of our reading lives, but alongside that we also get to enjoy other books that help us to understand our world, love our neighbor, and grow in our life with Jesus. So this week we’re joined by two of our favorite readers at Signal Pres: Carter and Beth Newbold! Both Cater and Beth are deeply involved at the Signal Mountain Library: Beth through her work with the Book Nook and Carter as an avid reader himself, and their reading lives extend beyond that through their sheer enjoyment of so many good books. They are with us this week to share some of their summer reading recommendations. Listen in and see if there’s something that makes your own summer reading list!
