WHAT'S DISCIPLE?
Every year we host the DISCIPLE course as our basic training in Christian faith for students who sense a call to follow Jesus. It exists to prepare students to trust Jesus Christ and help them learn to practice an everyday faith in Him. Our course is taught by elders, staff, and leaders at Signal Pres.
WHO'S IT FOR:
Disciple is for 5th-8th grade students who might fit ANY of the following:
HOW DOES IT WORK?
We’ve made changes in recent years, so please note the new schedule.
First module - A four-week intro unit asking “Who is Jesus?” (Dec. 1, 8, 15, 22 - 10:10am)
We’ll look at who he is, why we need him, what he has done, and how we respond on four Sunday mornings in December. This section prepares students to answer fours key questions and helps you assess their readiness for the rest of Disciple Class.
Second and third module - “What We Believe” and “How We Live” (Feb-March, Sunday afternoons 4:00-5:00pm)
These two four-week sections (Feb 2, 9, 16, 23 and Mar 2, 9, 23, 30) are the heart of the Disciple Course. We’ll learn to practice our faith in everyday life by looking at who God is, what God does in worship, and how we live with his commandments and prayer. Any student who completes this class is invited to join our church on May 4 or the next available Sunday for new members.
HOW DO I SIGN UP?
We are actively seeking a few key parents who will help with some logistics and coordination for Disciples this spring. If you are interested, please note on your interest form or contact Robert Kulisek or Bridget LeJeune.

- Not sure yet what it is to believe in Jesus - but asking spiritual questions
- Believes in Jesus and wants to learn and grow and explore faith (and may or may not be baptized)
- Not members of Signal Pres yet but wanting to join

HOW DO I SIGN UP?
- If you have a 5th-8th grader who might be interested and ready, you can go ahead and sign up on the Disicple Class Interest Form here.
- Because there are some things you as parents need to know about this process, the “why” of the changes, and how they better set you up for loving and leading your kids - we are asking you as parents to come either of two parent intro sessions. This is necessary before students and families meet with elders on Sunday evening, January 12.
