Presbyterian Day School

WELCOME TO PDS!

2023 - 2024

Presbyterian Day School is a weekday ministry that provides care and instruction for children ages six months to five years old. Founded in 1996 by Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church, our highest purpose is to show the love of Christ to children and families of the Signal Mountain Community. The preschool division is licensed by the Tennessee Department of Human Services and has continually received the highest three-star rating from the state's Quality Rating Improvement System.

MISSION STATEMENT

Presbyterian Day School strives to plant the seeds of Christian faith and a passion for lifelong learning into preschool children while simultaneously preparing them to thrive physically, emotionally, academically, socially, and spiritually in today’s world.

Who WE SERVE

WEE CARE

The Wee Care division of PDS serves children ages six months through two years in our Infant, Toddler, and Two-Year-Old classes. For these children, we seek to provide Christian care and nurturing in an environment that will encourage each child’s spiritual growth, positive social interaction, and physical and mental development.

Preschool & Pre-K 5s

The Preschool division serves children ages three, four, and five in our Threes, Fours, and Pre-K Fives classes. Classrooms are designed for a play-centered approach to learning and lessons are carefully planned to include varied and challenging materials to stimulate children of differing abilities and needs. The Christian-based curriculum provides for all areas of development; including the specific social, motor, emotional, and cognitive maturing of early childhood and in preparation for kindergarten.
