Intro to Signal Pres // This Wednesday
Wednesday April 14, 21 & 28, 6:30-7:30 PM
Intro to Signal Pres is the “front door” into the life of the church. If you want to get to know more about who we are and how you can be involved, join Scott and others new to the church for these two Wednesday nights. We will meet outside the Covenant House (inside for rain plan), directly across the street from the Sanctuary. Childcare and Wednesday Night programming for kids & students will be happening at the same time. Please let us know that you plan to attend by emailing Christie.
Special Events: Christian Faith in the Time of Covid
How can we understand both God and creation to be good in light of the extent of this suffering? Does the Bible say this is how life will be? How are Christians to live faithfully in this time? Through a series of four sermons and three guest lectures, we’ll explore these questions and more as we think about how Christian faith makes sense of the days we’ve been given. Registration required for online lectures.

The event will take place in the Courtyard of The Camp House’s new location, 806 E. 12th Street, Chattanooga! Please arrive in a mask (can be removed while seated) and bring a camp chair. Beverages will be available through Party Bites Catering.

Our second Serve Saturday opportunity of the spring will be April 17, 9 AM-2 PM. You can sign up by yourself, with your family, or with another group from the church. Signal Pres is partnering with Kids of Growth and Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church Kids Ministry with a variety of hands-on projects for all skill levels: from yard work to hauling equipment up the mountain back to Signal Pres. We still have a need for volunteers with trucks. We hope you and your family will join us for this time of service. SIGN UP
Instructions on where to meet and what to bring will be provided by your team leader prior to April 17. Breakfast is not being served due to covid restrictions.
Healing Services Resume Sunday April 18 at 5:30 PM in Marr Chapel. The Healing Service is open to anyone in need of prayer. The May 16 service will also be held at 5:30 before resuming to the originally scheduled time of every third Sunday of the month from 5 – 6 PM in Marr Chapel. We have a pastor present along with elders of the church. The service offers Come-and-Go Communion and Anointing with Oil.
Taste & See – An Evening For Women
Taste and See is an evening gathering for women to come and “taste and see that the Lord is good” (Psalm 34:8). Join us for a time of music and worship. Micki Ann Harris from Chattanooga House of Prayer will be speaking to us from God’s Word in Psalm 34. We will conclude with a time of fellowship outside afterwards. Registration for the event is $10. Virtual participation will be possible for those unable to join in person. Register here. For any questions, contact Hannah Sims.
(Odd) Job Board
This summer we’ve got a pile of students attending one of our three summer trips. A handful of them have set up a Job Board with a list of services that each student is offering in order to raise funds to help pay for the cost of their trip. We are inviting you to consider hiring and supporting one or more of these students as they seek to raise funds and go out in mission this summer!
Vacation Bible School
We’re taking VBS back!…to backyards, that is! We will create mini vacation bible schools all over the mountain, with small groups of kids at host homes. Kids will be assigned to a host home, based on age and neighborhood, so you can reach out to your neighbors and invite them! Kids will hear from early church leaders like Paul, Peter, John, and Timothy. They helped the first Jesus-followers wonder about spiritual habits: what made their stories unique, what gifts God gave them, what they could learn from others and how to serve them, and how they could spend time with God. VBS is for kids, rising Kindergarten through rising 6th grade on June 7-10, 9-11 AM. Register and invite your neighbors!
Remember . . . God’s Big Story doesn’t stop at Easter! We didn’t meet for Kids Discipleship this week, but we will be back together this Wednesday, April 14, 6:30-7:30 PM.
Wednesday Nights at SM2 | 6:30PM
