Prayers of the Bible
with Lincoln Rus, Pastoral Resident
God has blessed his children with a multitude of beautiful prayers throughout the Bible. Some are offered by the mighty and others by the meek. Some are prayers of thanksgiving and others are of deep lament and longing. These prayers are not only beneficial for those who offered them but provide Christians today with an opportunity to pray with them. Join us at this drop-in class as we pray alongside the downtrodden, prophets, kings, apostles, all through the power of our great mediator, Jesus Christ. Tuesdays beginning June 15, 6-7 PM in Woodward Hall. For info and to sign up e-mail Lincoln.
Women’s Summer Book Club
Would you like an opportunity this summer to grow spiritually by gaining a deeper understanding of who you are in Christ with a group of friendly women? Join us as we make our way through the book, Identity Theft: Reclaiming The Truth Of Who We Are In Christ.
Our first meeting will be Tuesday, June 29th from 6:30 – 8:00 pm. Location: TBD
We are doing some spring cleaning of the Library in order to make space for study and discipleship. This summer the Library will be transitioning into a new Discipleship Reading Room, which will be open to individuals and groups looking for a place to study, prepare lessons, and grow together in faith. The books that will no longer be featured in the Library will be given away. Starting this Sunday and during regular office hours next week, we will have Give-Away tables set up in the Greeting Room. Bring a bag or box and take home some new-to-you treasures! *We will be contacting donors who gave books as memorials to arrange pick-up of any books they desire to be returned. If not claimed, those books will also be given away.
Middle School Mission Trip
Middle School Mission Trip was amazing! From every leader to each and every student we worked as a team all week long. Though there were plenty of bug bites, scrapes, paint markings, bee stings, sunburns, we did not waiver in our compassion for others. To read more about what we did for the week, and look through the photos we took, click HERE.
UTC Bible Study Leaders Needed
One of our primary Community Partners, The House Ministry at UTC, is looking for volunteers to lead college-aged Bible Studies throughout the school year. Would you consider investing in a small group of students each week, listening and loving them through studying Scripture, praying, and simply sharing life with them? For info email firstname.lastname@example.org.
