2018 STEWARDSHIP SEASON
You may still make your pledges online.
Growing in generosity is a vital part of following Jesus as His disciple. Our church is an exceedingly generous church, with many members giving regularly and taking steps in faith along their generosity journey. From first time givers to regular givers, intentional givers to expanded givers, and finally legacy givers, each of us is called to take part in financially supporting the ministry of Signal Pres.
What some may not realize is that our ability to use our resources towards the fulfillment of God’s mission largely depends on knowing that those resources will be available. The Session determines the budget based on money that we expect to receive, and we either make cuts or expand our ministry impact accordingly. Please join us in our goal to achieve 75% participation among members for submitting pledges. You may drop pledge cards in the offering anytime or fill out the form below. Thank you in advance for being the faithful presence of Jesus’ love in this very tangible way!

A CALL TO STEWARDSHIP
As we welcomed new members into our church recently, we affirmed our vows to one another, uniting us under the banner of Christ in our local fellowship at Signal Pres. Moments like that remind us what we are as a church. Like a crew on a ship, we are a diverse group of people with so many backgrounds and stories, bound together by our loyalty to our Captain, Jesus. Under His watch and care, we travel together in the direction to which He calls us.
What does it take to propel this ship towards its destination? First, we need a common vision. It will be hard for us to journey together if we are all hoping to go different places! Second, we rely in faith on our Captain to equip us to carry out our mission. And third, we must determine for ourselves what we are willing to invest—perhaps even to give up—in support of our mission. This is a question of generosity. How is the Lord calling you to be generous with your time, energy, and resources to support the mission to which He has called us as a church body?
Over the course of 2017, we have spent time articulating in sermons and neighborhood groups a vision for our life together, which is summarized in these words: For the glory of God who makes all things new, Signal Pres equips all people to live ordinary life as the faithful presence of Jesus’ love. This is not a new direction as much as it is a picture of how we can keep going in the same direction we’ve faithfully traveled for decades, even as the cultural winds shift radically and quickly around us.
As we continue to figure out together what it means to live into this vision, our hope is that we will, as one body, embrace and pursue a deeper generosity in 2018. Many of us have faithfully given to Signal Pres for years. We invite you to consider expanding that giving in 2018. Some of us have given but without regularity or consistency. We invite you to consider giving intentionally in 2018. Some of us have never given to support the ministry of Signal Pres. We invite you to make 2018 the year that you do. Still others among us can’t quite bring ourselves to get on board. If you’re wrestling with questions about where our church is headed or want to know more about how our resources are being leveraged to support our mission, let’s get together.
Will you join us on this generosity journey? Will you step out in faith, investing your time and resources in Signal Pres—one vessel among a mighty fleet under Christ’s command—as we seek to minister to our people, our community, and our world? For the glory of the one who emptied Himself for our sake, let’s pour ourselves into the Kingdom work He has set before us.
