Playing with Fire

Samson is probably the best-known judge in the book and one of the most well-known characters in the Bible. By chapter 16, we are well aware of the many flaws that Samson has, but in his struggles with temptation and sin, we see a reflection of ourselves. In the story of Samson and Delilah, we see the dangers of allowing sin to have a foothold in our hearts. His fall provides a sobering example of why it is so crucial for Christians to be daily doing the work of putting their sin to death. Yet through it all, we see that God remains faithful, even when his people do not.
