Mark 5:21-43 has been called "the tale of two daughters." In it Mark interweaves the stories of the woman with a bleeding disease and the death of Jairus' daughter to show Jesus’ authority over disease and even death, and to show the response to Jesus’ power: faith, belief, trust. He is putting the question to his readers and to us – will you put your faith in Jesus?
