Student Ministry Summer Trips

Summer Trips with SM2 offer middle and high school students opportunities for discipleship, adventure, service, travel, fellowship, and a whole lot of fun! We have four trips each summer – check them out!

VENTURE

Completed Grades 11 & 12 | Buena Vista & Colorado Springs, CO

May 28-June 4 | $1000

Venture is a discipleship and leadership development opportunity for completed Seniors longing to grow in their faith as a follower of Christ Jesus. We’ll drive across the country to the beautiful state of Colorado. Each day we’ll have a different outdoor adventure as a group, along with focused teachings that center around discipleship, community, and leadership.

This trip is by application only. Please register and pay the deposit. Then, the student attending the trip needs to fill out an additional application. Students will be notified of acceptance after January 31. Deposits will be refunded for those we cannot accept.  

SERVE: CHATTANOOGA 

Completed Grades 6-8 | Chattanooga, TN

June 4-9 | $300

We serve in our own backyard by partnering with two of Signal Pres’ community ministry partners: Widow’s Harvest and Project 52 who have and are doing tremendous work in the greater Chattanooga area. Much of our work is labor intensive as we work on homes of clients who these ministries serve but often times the relational side of this trip comes from getting to know the homeowners of whom we are serving.

RYM CAMP

Rising Grades 9-12 | Panama City Beach, FL

July 3-7 | $650

Reformed Youth Ministry cares deeply about students and wants them to know the love of Jesus for them and the power of his gospel. RYM serves the local church through their summer conferences by providing space where groups can have fun together, be challenged and encouraged by the word of God in worship and grow together. Each day you will experience teaching, fellowship + activities and recreation. Students at RYM are exposed to God’s word in devotionals, small groups, elective classes and large group preaching with leaders who help them apply the Word of God to their hearts.

SERVE: NEW YORK

Completed Grades 9-12 | New York City

July 14-23 | $650

We are heading to the South Bronx to help out with A House On Beekman during their summer schooling program. A House on Beekman was originally founded to help kids in the South Bronx while bridging the gap between the area and the education disparity compared to other regions and boroughs of New York City. We get the opportunity to teach a bible study, help with their operations and even take the students on a field trip. While we will be working with AHOB during the day, we will have the nights to see and explore some of the city.
