Who is it for? Rising 9th Graders & their parents! We will have separate programming for both.

A Mile Marker, in travel, historically referred to a literal stone marking the distance along a road. In our culture today, the language of Mile Markers is used in a variety of ways, from fitness to project management to child development. We think of them as goals or markers along the way toward a destination. 

We often create Mile Markers as we move towards something or somewhere. Mile Markers act as a reference point for the distance traveled and the remaining journey, but also creates a sense of intentionality. Mile Markers are often established to help a person navigate the confusing and ambiguous space between one stage of life to another. Having a clear marker creates intentionality and purpose across the transition.

As the church it thrills us to have unique opportunities to intersect and partner with families at some of these various Mile Markers in a student’s development. That’s why we want to invite you to join us for Rush & Relax 6.0 or 9.0   

Rush & Relax is a “mile marker” event hosted by the student ministry of Signal Pres. We recognize entry into middle school or high school as a significant transition in the lives of students & families. We’ve created this event to be an opportunity to partner with parents & students as we highlight and teach the unique aspects of this specific phase of life and leave you with the challenge to lean in and not miss it. 

We believe every life stage matters and has significance. During our time together we’ll zero in on the unique ways your student(s) are developing mentally, physically, relationally, emotionally & spiritually over the next 52 weeks.

We hope that you will come, bring friends, connect with new people and allow us the privilege to partner with your family! After all, it’s just a phase … so don’t miss it!
