Disciple 2.0

Grades 9-12

Sundays, 4:30- 6 PM
13 Weeks, Beginning January 22

Every year we host the DISCIPLE course as our basic training in Christian faith for students who sense a call to follow Jesus. It exists to prepare students to trust Jesus Christ and help them learn to practice an everyday faith in him and is taught by elders and staff at Signal Pres. 

This we are stoked to offer Disciple 2.0 for 9th-12th graders! The high school course is a bit longer, wider, and deeper than the middle school Disciple 1.0 course in an effort to really ground students in the way, truth, and life we have in Jesus. At Signal Pres, the Disciple course works like the front-door for full membership in our church family and baptism (if you have not already been baptized.)

WHO IT’S FOR

Disciple 2.0 is for students who might fit ANY of the following 

Asking spiritual questions, exploring or curious what you or we believe, or growing in faith in Jesus 

Not members of Signal Pres yet but wanting to join 

 

Want to be prepared to publicly say “I believe in Jesus!” And know what you mean 

 

Not baptized yet – but curious about it or wanting to be baptized 

 

Maybe you went through Disciple 1.0 as a 5th-6th grader but are now asking deeper questions about their faith and want to grow in grace! 

(Note: there is a separate Disciple 1.0 for 6th-8th graders).

WHEN WE MEET

Disciple begins Sunday, January 22 (full schedule below) and meets consistently on 4:30-6pm on Sunday afternoons for 12 weeks. It requires high commitment with minimal absences. Each week has some really great reading and prep in advance .. that also helps you with a daily rhythm of prayer and scripture. Room locations and entrances will be shared after signups. It’s primarily taught by student ministry staff with some special guests. 

 Advance signups required by the end of Wednesday, Jan. 18. To register, complete the signup forms online 

REGISTRATION

To register, complete the signup form online by January 18. You may complete the registration form anytime before January 18, but students are not registered until a parent attends attends the pre-class meeting.
