EQUIP Quarter 4: Parenting for Independence: Intentional Planning for the Special Needs Family
Wednesday Nights from 6:30 – 7:30 PM
March 13, 27 and April 3, 10
The challenges of parenting a child with special needs are unique and ongoing. These needs are ever changing through the various phases and milestones of life. Caregivers and those who are walking alongside a family dealing with special needs would benefit and learn from the community offered in this class. Hear stories of how to parent intentionally for independence, how to plan for transition, and planning for guardianship/ conservatorship/estate planning.
Speakers: Lifeline Ministry is an organization based in Chattanooga and serving special needs families in about a dozen counties across southeast Tennessee and northwest Georgia. All of LifeLine’s board and staff are affected by special needs in some way, whether living with disability themselves or as caregivers.
NOTE: To help us best accommodate and prepare for all of our guests, we ask that families bringing children with special needs to register below on the form. We have a loving and trained team of staff and volunteers eager to spend time with your children! Please feel free to extend this invitation to families we may not reach.
