Presbyterian Day School is a weekday ministry that provides care and instruction for children ages six months to five years old. Founded in 1996 by Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church, our highest purpose is to show the love of Christ to children and families of the Signal Mountain Community. The preschool division is licensed by the Tennessee Department of Human Services and has received the highest three star rating from the state based on the Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scales.
The Wee Care division of PDS serves children ages six months through two years in our Infant, Toddler, and Two-Year-Old classes. For these children, we seek to provide Christian care and nurturing in an environment that will encourage each child’s spiritual growth, positive social interaction, and physical and mental development.
Preschool & Pre-K 5s
The Preschool division serves children ages three, four, and five in our Threes, Fours, and Pre-K Fives classes. Classrooms are designed for a play-centered approach to learning and lessons are carefully planned to include varied and challenging materials to stimulate children of differing abilities and needs. The Christian-based curriculum provides for all areas of development; including the specific social, motor, emotional, and cognitive maturing of early childhood and in preparation for kindergarten.
Presbyterian Day School strives to plant the seeds of Christian faith and a passion for lifelong learning into preschool children while simultaneously preparing them to thrive physically, emotionally, academically, socially, and spiritually in today’s world.

Our fun and learning at PDS extends well beyond our campus! We have many guests visit us for Reverse Field Trips each year, including educators from the Tennessee Aquarium, Chattanooga Nature Center, Creative Discovery Museum, Kids On The Block, and Signal Mountain Firefighters. Along with hearing a presentation on a special topic, children enjoy hands-on experiences with each Reverse Field Trip!

We have been incredibly blessed with both our boys growing and learning in a safe, creative, biblical, and fun environment at PDS! The teachers and staff love our children and go above and beyond what we expected. They prepare them for kindergarten and equally important, they genuinely care for and love them. We are beyond grateful for being part of the PDS family and strongly recommend them!
– The Schultz Family
PDS was such a blessing to our entire family. It was the perfect loving, Christian environment to prepare our children for elementary school. The caring, attentive teachers at PDS gave my children, my nephews, and countless friends’ children the kind of love and one-on-one attention that one can only hope for. We are forever grateful for their knowledge and loving care.
