Music Ministry

For all people of Signal Pres and across all generations, we view music as a means to worship, teach biblical truths, equip us for Christ-like living, proclaim the gospel, and minister to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those in our community and beyond. All are invited into that vision on Sunday mornings as we participate in worship and singing together.

WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE

Within a fairly structured order of worship, you’ll find our services include music that ranges from classic hymns with organ accompaniment to newly composed songs accompanied by a band. Oftentimes a choir, small ensemble, or soloist will help lead us. The 9 AM service has a traditional aesthetic with mostly hymns led by the choir, and the 11 AM, or Informal service, incorporates a more varied blend of styles usually led by a band.

COMMUNITY & GROWTH

Our musical family represents a wide range of backgrounds and skill levels: some are professionals, most are not. We offer several opportunities for adults, students, and children to hone their skills, serve, and simply do life together among others with similar interests. Whether you are an experienced musician or an enthusiastic amateur, there’s a place for you!

There’s nothing better I can do with the talent God gave me than to offer it back to him in worship.

-Chip, Worship Band

Being surrounded by people who share my faith and singing the songs we do helps me grow in my faith. It has given me a place to slow down and become stronger in my spiritual life.

-Meredith, Youth Choir

I love my "choir family!" We share each other's joys, concerns, sorrows, and pray with and for each other. I always look forward to our times together.

-Mary Lynn, Sanctuary Choir

Music in worship is an alternate way to present the gospel. Being a leader in that presentation is an honor and a blessing.

-Tarbell, Sanctuary Choir

Youth Choir has been a huge blessing for my children! Not only have their lives been enriched by the music and singing, but they have found fellowship with their peers.

-Julie, Youth Choir Parent

While we are a close-knit group, all are welcome to join us. I continue to enjoy new friendships, as well as the joy of sharing a wide variety of music in fresh and inspiring ways.

-Frances, Sanctuary Choir
