Caring for our own in times of joy, difficulty, and sorrow is one of the most important things we do for one another at Signal Pres. Whether we’re celebrating the arrival of a new baby, walking alongside a grieving spouse, making hospital visitations, leading divorce-support groups, bringing communion to our home-bound members, or simply showing up to pray, bring meals, do chores, or anything else needed, serving one another is one of our greatest expressions of gospel love.
Join us in meeting the prayer needs of our congregation by calling 423.886.2160 for a brief Scriptural message, prayer, and update of pastoral concerns within the congregation. Messages will be updated each day by 9 AM.
Daily visits are made to church members in hospitals in the Chattanooga area. These visits are made by the pastors and church officers. Our pastors have received credentials from hospitals for pastoral calls. Please notify the church office of hospitalized family members or friends. Due to protection of individual rights, information is not distributed by hospitals, and pastors are dependent upon communication from the family. Also, please note that some hospitals have restrictions on pastoral staff visits in special care units and emergency rooms. Please let us know how we can best be available to you.
PASTOR ON CALL
There is always a pastor is on call during nights and weekends. Simply call the church office and the recorded message will let you know who is on call and how to get in touch.
Ruling Elders and pastors are available for congregational calls, counsel, and mercy ministry needs. We also hold regular services for prayer, healing, and personal needs.
Can we pray for you or visit you?
Stephen Ministers are trained and supervised members of Signal Pres who provide one-to-one Christian care to anyone facing life challenges such as depression, anxiety, grief, debt, marriage troubles, or care giving. Their role is to listen to, accept, and pray with and for those needing support, and to provide resources when additional support is needed.

To enable all members to participate in the life of the church and to flourish in their personal lives, we provide services such as access to a Medical Closet, through which specialized medical equipment is loaned out; transportation to church events, occasional appointments, and errands (handicap accessible van available); and communion delivery to our homebound and hospitalized members.

Composed of those who have experienced the pain of divorce, this group aims to support those who are struggling by giving them information and tools to cope with the loss of a marriage. Divorce Care is open to all members and friends of Signal Pres. There is no charge and workbooks are provided.

When grieving the loss of a loved one, it is easy to feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before. Grief Share groups meet weekly to help one another face these challenges and move toward rebuilding their lives. Through video seminars, support group discussions, and a personal workbook for study and reflection, Grief Share offers resources for healing and a place of comfort and community.

Beatitude Living is a fellowship of women committed to working through life-controlling problems and dependencies with Biblical principles and Christ-centered solutions. The group time is structured by the 12-Steps developed by AA and is patterned after the Beatitudes in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5). The group offers a safe and confidential place for women working towards recovery from codependency, relational conflict, substance abuse, parenting challenges, the addictions of significant others, or any life-controlling situation. The goal is freedom from dependencies which we find ourselves powerless to change or control. Newcomers are welcome.

I love Stephen Ministry. Being a Stephen Minister allows me to walk alongside another and be an encourager. It is Christian love in action.
