If you have ever called the church office, you most likely have been greeted by the voice of Barbara Hailey! Joining the church staff in June 1997 in Music Ministry, Barbara first served as a part-time assistant. After the addition of the Cornerstone Building and major renovations to the church office, in 2001 she became the first front-line administrative assistant at Signal Pres. Now celebrating over 21 years on staff, Barbara continues to enjoy greeting each caller and visitor to the church. She works behind-the-scenes alongside many ministries and assists with church publications. You’ll occasionally see her volunteering with Hospitality Ministry on the serving line at Wednesday dinner or assisting with weddings as a part of the Wedding Guild.
A native of Signal Mountain, Barbara grew up at Signal Pres. She is an alum of Signal Mountain Grammar School and Girls Preparatory School and received an associate degree in business management and office administration from Edmondson Junior College. Barbara raised her children Michael and Katherine on Signal Mountain and at Signal Pres where they were active in children’s ministry, youth ministry, and music ministry. Barbara thrives on seeing that all is done for the greater good of Signal Pres.
