When Paul confronts one of the hardest questions, he searches the scriptures to discern God’s answer. His conclusion – the surprising and wonderful electing grace of God is at work when we don’t see it. What we do see is that God has the last word on his church and his people, and though the consequences of rebellion are vast, his mercy and grace are even greater.
