DEAR CHURCH FAMILY,
If you were with us for our Annual Meeting in February, you heard elder Bob Marshall introduce what we hope will be an incredibly fruitful part of 2018 and beyond for Signal Pres. Your pastors and elders have given considerable thought and discussion to this process, and we look towards its March 25th kickoff with a great sense of eagerness and hopefulness. That’s why I want to take this space to introduce you to RENEW.
At the most basic level, RENEW is a chance for each one of us to work together in a process of remembering God’s faithfulness in the past, re-framing our mission together in the present and responding to God’s call for our future. Over the course of 2018, guided by our Session and the experienced coaching of the people at TAG, we are going to be walking together in a process of affirming why we exist, remembering how far God has brought us, examining our current strengths and challenges, exploring where God wants to take us, and determining how we are going to get there. Along the way, it is our expectation and desire that God would bind us together in love across the lines of age and stage, personal preference, and years at the church in order to deepen our existence as one community on intentional, joyful mission together.
With your pastors and elders, I am excited about what God will do through this process on the way to growing us in the work that he has given us — equipping all people to live ordinary life as the faithful presence of Jesus’ love.
If you have any questions or concerns along the way, as always, don’t hesitate to talk with me!
Hopefully,
Scott
