This will be the chance for us to come together to hear about all that God has done during this process, and to commit to what God has next for us in our life and mission as a church. Our hope is that it won’t be an end but a renewed beginning of what God is doing here at Signal Pres!
Join us after church at 12:00 PM in Dudley Hall. Childcare is available up to age five.

RENEW UPDATE — JULY 2018
The Session will be hosting congregational debriefs after each of our retreats. The first one is Wednesday, August 8 in Marr Chapel from 6:00 to 7:00 PM.
DEAR CHURCH FAMILY,
If you were with us for our Annual Meeting in February, you heard elder Bob Marshall introduce what we hope will be an incredibly fruitful part of 2018 and beyond for Signal Pres. Your pastors and elders have given considerable thought and discussion to this process, and we look towards its March 25th kickoff with a great sense of eagerness and hopefulness. That’s why I want to take this space to introduce you to RENEW.
At the most basic level, re:new is a chance for each one of us to work together in a process of remembering God’s faithfulness in the past, re-framing our mission together in the present and responding to God’s call for our future. Over the course of 2018, guided by our Session and the experienced coaching of the people at TAG, we are going to be walking together in a process of affirming why we exist, remembering how far God has brought us, examining our current strengths and challenges, exploring where God wants to take us, and determining how we are going to get there. Along the way, it is our expectation and desire that God would bind us together in love across the lines of age and stage, personal preference, and years at the church in order to deepen our existence as one community on intentional, joyful mission together.
WHAT ARE THE STEPS IN THE PROCESS? HOW CAN YOU BE A PART OF IT?
March 25, 12:30 PM — All-Church Lunch and Kickoff
Kevin Ford, our lead coach through this process, will be with us to communicate to us the what, why, how, and when of this process. $7 Adults, $2 Children. Childcare is provided.
April 8 – May 7 — Transforming Church Insight: A Congregational Survey
Here’s where every one of us gets to give honest feedback about who we have been, are, and are becoming as a church. Results are compared with a vast database of responses from other churches like ours on the way to helping us see a little more about who we are, areas where we are doing well, and areas where we need help. Also during this time, TAG will be doing an assessment of our community, with the aim of helping us uncover the largest unmet needs in our own backyard. This will provide us a common rallying point for implementing our vision of being the faithful presence of Jesus’ love going forward. The survey is now closed. Thank you for your participation.
May 19 – 20 — Focus Groups
Todd Hahn, a coach from TAG, will be onsite meeting with 7-8 focus groups of all different ages and stages. If you want to be a part of one of these, please contact Christie or 886.2190. Also during this time, Todd will be doing work with the church staff, helping us figure out our strengths as a team.
July 28 – 29, August 25 – 26, September 29 – 30 — Session Retreats
Kevin Ford will lead the Session in these concentrated times of reviewing all of your feedback and the information from the discovery phase on the way to articulating the heart of who we have been, who we are, and who we are becoming.

With your pastors and elders, I am excited about what God will do through this process on the way to growing us in the work that he has given us — equipping all people to live ordinary life as the faithful presence of Jesus’ love.
If you have any questions or concerns along the way, as always, don’t hesitate to talk with me!
