As we seek to continue living as the faithful presence of Jesus’ love while entering unchartered territory as a church body, we are committed to finding new ways of fulfilling our mission while also protecting the health and safety of our people. There are two main ways that prayer can continue to be a central part of our life together in this season where we find ourselves separated from one another.
The FIRST way we will join together in prayer is through a common habit of morning and evening prayer. In a time where many of our schedules and routines have been disrupted and we all feel the temptation toward anxiety and fear, we need to build or re-build a daily discipline of attending to God’s Word and finding him in prayer. A simple guide for morning prayer can be found HERE, and a guide for evening prayer can be found HERE. We all need this regular habit in this season.
The SECOND way we will be together in this season is through our online Prayer Service twice a week through our Facebook page (the same place we are hosting Sunday morning worship) via Facebook live. During this time we’ll join together in prayer for our world, country, city and church. Join us at 9:00 AM on Tuesdays and 6:00 PM on Thursdays. A guide for this time of prayer is available HERE, and the entire family is welcome to join as we pray together and hear from God’s Word. This gathering will last around 15 minutes.
To access the online prayer service, you’ll need to go to facebook.com on your phone, tablet, or computer (sign up for an account if needed). In the search bar at the top left, search “Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church”. Our church will be the first result.
Be sure and “Like” the page so that you get updates and notifications.
On Thursday evening, go directly to facebook.com/signalpres, where you will see our live stream.
If you miss the live service, you can view it immediately after it ends by going to the Videos section on our page.
