Choirs
Sanctuary Choir
Sanctuary Choir is our primary adult musical ensemble. They perform weekly in services and in sacred concerts throughout the year. The Choir is open to anyone interested. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings during the school year from 7:30-9:00 PM in the Cornerstone Music Suite.
Joy Choir: 4 Years – Kindergarten
Joy Choir meets each Wednesday from 6:15-7:00 PM in Room 290, Thorington Building. By singing, moving, creating and playing games and instruments, members will learn musical and singing fundamentals. Joy Choir will have the opportunity to use these skills to lead in worship.
Praise Choir: Grades 1 & 2
Praise Choir meets each Wednesday from 6:15-7:00 PM in the Music Suite. Members will learn the fundamentals of choral singing, develop healthy singing voices, and gain music literacy skills through games and playing instruments. We will explore God’s Word and His love through the gift of music. Praise Choir will have several opportunities to lead in worship.
Westminster Singers: Grades 3 – 5
Westminster Singers meet each Wednesday from 4:45-5:45 PM in the Music Suite. Choir members will learn to sing skillfully and beautifully, learn to read music and develop musical skills, accompany songs and anthems with instruments, explore God’s Word and minister to God’s people by leading in worship, concerts and productions.
Youth Choir: Grades 6 – 12
Youth Choir is comprised of students in grades 6-12, and rehearse on Sundays from 4:30-6:00 PM in the Music Suite. The Youth Choir focuses on developing beautiful singing in a variety of musical styles, music reading skills, and growing together spiritually. They have the opportunity to lead worship regularly in church services and in concerts. They also enjoy sharing their gifts in the community for events such as Chattanooga Lookouts games and caroling. Additionally, the Youth Choir has the opportunity to collaborate with other youth choirs in festivals and workshops.
