What if we as a church could cast a vision to create a shared experience where dads could bond with and bless their kids at a crucial stage of early teen years – right when life tends to start pushing dads and kids apart? What if we could encourage every dad in our church to take such an opportunity to experience this?
What if we took a week on a working cattle ranch in north-central Colorado, right up against the Flat Top mountains, to experience the rhythms of life that teach us the truth about our relationship with Jesus Christ? With one another? And in our families?
On Dadventure No. 2, you’ll camp in the aspen backwoods, have all your meals wonderfully prepped for you, and get to fish, hike, work on a cattle ranch, ride horses, have long talks around the fire. Most importantly, you will be stretched and grown in the image of Jesus as we learn to bless and bond with one another.
Dates: June 7-13, 2020 We fly out to Denver on June 7, then spend June 8 – 12 on the ranch, then fly back home on June 13.
Who it’s for: A dad and one child between the ages of 12-16 (as of June)
Where we go: Fish and Cross Ranch in Yampa, Colorado up against the Flat Top Mountains.
Cost: TBD as we research flights, but around $1000/person. We are working on way a way to make it accessible to each person who wants to go.
