SPOTLIGHT // STEPHEN MINISTRY
You are invited to join us Sunday, April 18 at 5:30 PM in Marr Chapel for the return of our monthly Healing Service. The May 16 Healing Service will also be held at 5:30, and then resume in June to the originally scheduled time of 5-6 PM.
When life does not come in well-ordered circumstances or trouble-free living, the Healing Service gives us an assurance that we are neither alone nor without purpose. It summons us to hope and wholeness of life as we bear one another’s burdens before our Lord. Led by our Pastors, Elders and Stephen Ministers, this service ministers to and provides a prayerful place for those seeking spiritual, emotional and physical healing.
The Stephen Ministry team advocates for and coordinates the Healing Service. They will be a visible presence at each service, always available, to come alongside you. Stephen Ministers are lay people who, while not counselors, are gifted in and trained in caring for and helping those experiencing life struggles simply by providing compassion and strictly confidential listening. Whether your challenges are related to grief, divorce, job loss, illness, loneliness, etc. a Stephen Minister stands ready to pray with you and walk alongside you.
Our Stephen Ministry leaders are Leah Conner, Petie Corell, Jarrell Reeves and Mary Wray. They can be contacted by calling the church office.
“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.” Psalm 34:19
